Helicopter Landings
CO-ORDINATES: 52°14.21’N 000°28.16’WThe helipads are located on a concrete apron north of the circuit complex and are marked H1, H2 and H3 (see plan). H4 is a separate pad further to the north (see plan). Once your landing is confirmed one of our Event Coordinators will inform you which helipad you are cleared to land on. Jet A1 fuel is available on request.
On approach towards the Autodrome when cleared to land on H1, H2 or H3, please maintain 1000ft until the Autodrome boundary, avoiding villages as shown on the Noise Abatement Plan. Final approach to the helipads should be from the south, maintaining at least 100ft over the track immediately to the south, which is likely to be active with race cars. H4 has a different approach path assigned (see plan), still avoiding the villages shown on the Noise Abatement Plan.
The Bedford Autodrome helipads are 1 mile north-west of the airfield Bedford Aerodrome (EGBF), also operated by MSV. Movements are few and the frequency 119.030 may not be manned, but please make blind calls. Watch out for the possibility of fixed wing traffic.
Landing is by prior permission only. Please call PalmerSport on 01403 733999 or email [email protected]. It will be necessary to complete the Landing Request Form below.
If you change plans and do not fly, or your arrival time is expected to be significantly different to that estimated, please call Bedford Autodrome on 01234 332400.

EGTC METAR (similar elevation).
If you would prefer to land at the aerodrome you are welcome to do so, landing on Apron C. We can arrange ground transport to the hospitality areas and offices. Please refer to the aerodrome details and booking information on this site.
To request a landing at the Bedford Autodrome Helipads please complete the table below and email or fax it to us with a copy of your aircraft insurance certificate. By requesting a landing at the Bedford Autodrome Helipads you confirm the following:
- You have third party insurance for not less than £5million any one incident and attach confirmation of cover. If this is not currently held, extra cover must be provided by your aircraft insurer.
- You understand that the Bedford Autodrome Helipads are not licensed and you have ensured that you are satisfied as to the suitability of the facilities for your purposes and understand that Bedford Autodrome provides no warranty in this respect.
- You will follow all requirements set out in the Bedford Autodrome Helicopter Landing Information.
- You will follow the Aerodrome Regulations and Noise Abatement Procedures set out on the Bedford Aerodrome Information sheet.
- You will indemnify Bedford Autodrome, MotorSport Vision Limited, JPM Limited, and all officers, employees, servants, and agents thereof in respect of any liabilities, direct or indirect and of any kind whatsoever arising out of the use of the facilities by your aircraft.
There is no landing fee for flights bringing guests to the PalmerSport event. Approval is not confirmed until you have received email confirmation.
Please note that landings are not permitted between 08.30 and 09.10, 12.45 and 13.10 or 16.30 and 17.10 as that would disturb important guest briefings.
